Who wears US size 7?
US 7 is, with size 6, one of the two most common women’s ring sizes in the US — the top of the typical women’s range. It is also a small men’s size, seen on men’s pinky fingers and on smaller hands. Because it is so common, a 7 is the size most often used in worked examples — including ours: 17.3 mm across, 54.4 mm around.

Buying tips for size 7
- A 54.4 mm paper-strip reading or a 17.3 mm ring diameter is a true 7 — the most cross-checked measurement in the chart.
- Between 7 and 7.5? Take 7.5 for wide bands and warm climates, 7 for slim bands in cooler ones.
- Buying secretly? Alongside 6, size 7 is the safest women’s guess, and plain-metal 7s are the easiest of all to exchange or resize.
- Converting for a UK seller? Ask for N½ in writing — a plain “N” on some charts is a quarter to half size smaller.
